The 2018 TROY Series Finale – THIS SUNDAY @ SPRINGTON!
THE SPRINGTON TRIAL, HOSTED BY THE JUVENTUS MCC
This Sunday will see the final round of the TROY Series SA 2018 kick off at 9.30am, being hosted by the Juventus MCC on their great trials property on Church Road at Springton.
With Connor Hogan and Haydon Ahrens now overseas, the Red Class has been decided, with Connor once again taking out the Overall Troy Series Champion title, as well as getting the nod over his WTC minder, Haydon, in the Red Class.
It is the Yellow & White Classes however, where it will all go down to the wire with some of SA’s brightest junior talent taking it all before them, with MSA Elite Rider, Alex Cowan and 2 time Australian Champion, Haydon Barwick, looking to take out the Yellow Class for B Grade riders, with fellow junior, Josh Rees, also looking to get the result he needs to fill out an all junior podium in the senior class!
In the White Class, which combines Junior A and Junior B in the points table, at the moment it is a real battle of the rookies, with brothers, Oliver & Harry Lancaster separated by a single point going into this weekend’s finale, with the likely battle for 3rd also featuring rookies Thomas Eardley and Isaac Schultz, with Isaac keen to put his petrol running Gas Gas in amongst the silent electric Oset ‘stealth riders’!
In the other classes, the leader in each class looks to have a comfortable margin heading into Sunday with Rob White and Greg Rogers (Blue Class) looking to also keep the junior challenges of Patrick Hewitt and Cameron Gerhardy at bay, while Craig Ahrens will be looking to make it 4 starts for 4 wins in the Black & White Class, as will MSA Elite Rider, Lillie Yiatrou in the Pink Class for women and girls, with the interest there the battle for the minors between juniors Charlotte Cowan and Ashley Barwick and seniors Jasmine Tarrant and Anna Rogers!
