SOUTH AUSTRALIAN RIDERS HAD A HUGE WEEKEND AT THE 2018 AUSTRALIAN CLASSIC DIRT TRACK CHAMPIONSHIPS

The South Australian contingent did themselves proud at the Australian Classic Dirt Track Championships held at Mick Doohan Raceway, Brisbane over the weekend of July 8 & 9.

The sight of hundreds of classic bikes and enthusiasts crammed into the pits was amazing. The competition was fierce and determined, the camaraderie was evident from the support given by fellow competitors in a great advertisement for Dirt Track, Classic or Modern, here in Australia.

The Championships were held over 2 days with 5 rounds of 4 laps each. The strong contingent representing SA were Steve Batchelor, Bill & Jake Mitchell, and Rob, Doug and James Hayden.

Our South Aussie lads provided strong and consistent riding over the weekend to bring home a large swag of trophies – including 2 Australian Championships, the first to SA riders in 2018!
