New board members confirmed for MSA following 2017 Annual General Meeting
The board and management of Motorcycling South Australia (MSA), the State Controlling Body for Motorcycle Sport and Recreation can now confirm two newly elected board members who will become directors and oversee the organisation moving forward.
At the Annual General Meeting held in the MSA Hall on Thursday 27th April, two available director positions were up for election. These positions were filled by Paul ‘Rocky’ Warren of the Australian Sidecarcross Association and David Parker of the Speedway Riders Association as the successful candidates.
Parker joins the board following nearly two decades of experience within promoting speedway motorcycle events in South Australia, right up to the International level. This is in addition to a long career as a competitor and will therefore bring a strong level of knowledge and experience to the group on multiple aspects of motorcycle sport.
President of the MSA Board, Brenton Matters congratulated the outgoing member (Daniel Marsh) and commended him on his work and efforts in his time on the board. Daniel has been a committed team member, bringing a wealth of knowledge and specific IT skills. Also commenting that the panel are continuing to work hard to achieve the best results for the organisation state-wide and moving MSA forward in the right direction for years to come.
“I’d really like to thank Daniel for all of his hard work, in particular for being my Vice President. As a board, we are regularly looking toward making improvements in multiple areas for MSA and the sport as a whole and we have some exciting projects on the horizon. Congratulations must go to the two successful candidates on their appointment to the board and I look forward to working with them and the existing members over the coming months,” Matters said.
At the next board meeting, a Vice President will be elected and this will be confirmed in a media release distributed following the meeting.
