After another great year of high quality competition around the country, the AORC has now wrapped up and as the dust settles, let’s have a look at the wash up!
The Barossa Valley, and the Keyneton MCC, had double success with Peter Rudd in Vets and Charlie Milton in J3 both recording solid results all Series, with Peter having a win at Broken Hill and 2 other podium finishes, while Charlie, in his first AROC, recorded constant improvement as the year went on, going from 6th & 7th placings to 2nd & 3rd by seasons end to claim a first up podium!
Michael Widdison had a cracker of a season, with 2 wins and 4 second placings, but missing 3 rounds really coast him and he also had to settle for the final step on the podium!
A number of other Croweaters also had Top 10 placings in the Australian Championships – and here they are;
Max Price finished 6h in the J4 Class with a best round placing of 4th!
Max Liebeknecht finished 7th in the J3 Class with a best round placing of 4th!
Taj Gow-Smith finished 8th in the J2 Class with a best round placing of 3rd
Hayley Gray finished 8th in the Women’s Class with a best round placing of 4th
Will Price finished 9th in the EJ (Youth) Class with a best round placing of 3rd
Rowan Pumpa finished 10th in Veterans, with 2 round wins (the only rounds he rode!)
Jayden Rudd finished 10th in the J4 Class with 2 2nds & 2 3rds in the only 4 rounds he rode
A huge congratulations to all SA riders that competed in the 2018 AROC, and especially those who did so well – SA Proud once again!
